Goals 2010-2011
Membership- Increase membership in the area by providing opportunities to promote and aid the program through council based activities.
- See a positive increase in membership by November 1st 2011.
- Divide the councils between each AVOA officer, assigning three nearby councils (including their own) with which to have personal contact with.
- Send a representative (or more than one) to events hosted by each council.
Communication- Set up communication between all of the Council VOA’s and establish VOA’s where they are not currently present by May 31st 2011.
- Establish contact with existing council VOA’s.
- Establish contact with councils that do not have VOA’s to assist in the creation of one.
- Establish a newsletter for the area including area events and trainings.
Program- Provide an Introduction to Leadership Skills Course (ILSC) Training Course in order to train new Council Officers and encourage applications for other officer positions as well as host an open forum for discussion by April 30th 2011.
- Give presentations to Council VOAs as well as at council activities such as Scouting University.
- Encourage the submission of applications for Area President.
Organization- Obtain capable advisors in the vicinity of each of the three Vice Presidents by February 28th 2011.
