Area 2 Summit

Registration Information
Goals 2010-2011
Membership- Increase membership in the area by providing opportunities to promote the program through council based activities that will help them to increase their numbers.
- See a positive increase in membership by November 1st 2011.
- Assign each AVOA officer a buddy council beside his or her home council with which to have personal contact with.
- Send a representative (or more than one) to events hosted by each council.
Communication- Set up communication between all of the Council VOA’s and establish VOA’s where they are not currently present by June 17th 2011.
- Establish contact with Twin Rivers (currently lacking VOA).
- Establish contact with Western Mass (has a VOA but not currently in contact with the area)
- Establish contact with Trans Atlantic and create opportunities for them to be involved.
Program- Provide an Introduction to Leadership Skills Course (ILSC) Training Course before February 15th in order to train new Council Officers and encourage applications for other officer positions as well as host an open forum for discussion.
- Create a core of trainers in each council to branch out and host their own ILSC courses.
- Encourage the submission of applications for Area President.
Organization- Obtain capable advisors for each of the three Vice Presidents by January 31st 2011
Program-Run a Kodiak course for the Outgoing and Incoming Area 2 AVOA’s between the ILSC course and the Summit
- Create an extra incentive to run for Area Office.
- To serve as a transition period between the two teams to share knowledge.
- To encourage cohesion among team members and create bonds that will lead to friendship and good communications to start the new officers term.
